Best Presentation Award at the ICKEM 2026 Conference

Research Assistant Cem Oran, from the research group of Prof. Dr. Adem Tekin, has been selected to receive the Best Presentation Award at the 16th International Conference on Key Engineering Materials (ICKEM 2026). At the conference, the group presented its latest advancement in crystal structure prediction: the newly developed PNcsp+ algorithm.

Travel Fund Award for the AsCA 2025 Conference

Research Assistant Cem Oran, from the research group of Prof. Dr. Adem Tekin, has been selected to receive the Travel Fund Award at the 19th Conference of the Asian Crystallographic Association (AsCA 2025) in recognition of the scientific merit and overall excellence of his abstract submission. At the conference, the group will present its latest advancement in crystal structure prediction: the newly developed PNcsp algorithm.

Best Paper Award at the ESM 2025 Conference

The paper titled “Non-Invasive Complete Hemodynamic Model to Investigate the Effect of Multi-Stenosis in Patient-Specific Coronary Arteries”, jointly prepared by research assistants Hacer Duzman and E. Cenk Ersan, and Prof. Dr. M. Serdar Çelebi from the Informatics Institute Computational Science and Engineering Program at ITU, has been awarded the Best Paper Award at the European Simulation and Modelling Conference (ESM’25).

TÜBİTAK Funds New Research on Genetic Variants and Drug Candidates

Asst. Prof. Vildan Enisoğlu Atalay has received funding for the TÜBİTAK 1002-A project “Analysis of Harmful Missense SNPs Associated with Congenital Lactose Intolerance and Identification of New Drug Candidate Molecules In Silico.” Additionally, the TÜBİTAK 1001 project “Identification of Therapeutic Agents Targeting Chlamydia Inclusion Membrane Protein (IncA) In Silico and Investigation of Their In Vitro Activity,” in which she serves as a researcher, has also been approved.
